Kivvie documentation
Short, practical guides for setting up and running Kivvie, the whitelist-only YouTube player for kids. Parents manage everything from the web dashboard; children watch on the iOS or Android app.
Getting started
Set up Kivvie in about two minutes: sign in, create a child profile, and approve your first channels.
iOS and Android app
Install the child app on iPhone, iPad, or Android and sign in with the same account you use on the dashboard.
iPhone and iPad
Install Kivvie from the App Store and pair it with Apple Screen Time for device-level controls.
Android
Install Kivvie from Google Play and pair it with Google Family Link for device-level controls.
Approving YouTube channels
Search any public YouTube channel and approve it per child. Nothing appears in the app until you do.
Parent dashboard
Manage child profiles, approved channels, channel packs, watch history, and subscription settings from the web.
Block YouTube Shorts
How Kivvie removes Shorts by design instead of hiding them behind a setting or browser extension.
Channel packs
Install parent-recommended bundles of channels, then customize each child profile after installation.
Troubleshooting
Fix common setup, sign-in, sync, channel approval, and child app issues.
Billing and plans
Understand the free plan, paid plans, subscription changes, cancellation, and billing emails.
