Getting Started

How do I set up Kivvie?

  1. Download the Kivvie app and sign in with your Google account
  2. Visit kivvie.app to access the parent dashboard
  3. Create a child profile for each of your children
  4. Search for and approve YouTube channels for each child
  5. Open the app and let your child tap their profile to start watching

Why do I need to sign in with Google?

Kivvie uses Google sign-in to securely verify your identity and to search YouTube channels when you're approving content for your children. We never store your Google password.

Can I manage profiles from the app?

Child profiles and channel approvals are managed through the parent web dashboard at kivvie.app. The mobile app is designed as the child-facing viewing experience.

Common Questions

Why can't my child see any videos?

Make sure you've approved at least one YouTube channel for that child's profile. Log in to the parent dashboard at kivvie.app, select the child's profile, and add channels.

Are YouTube Shorts shown to my child?

No. YouTube Shorts are completely hidden from children in Kivvie. Only full-length videos from your approved channels are displayed.

Can my child see comments on videos?

No. Comments are completely hidden in Kivvie to keep the viewing experience safe and distraction-free.

Does Kivvie work offline?

Kivvie caches previously loaded video listings so your child can browse even with spotty internet. However, watching videos requires an active internet connection.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at admin@kivvie.app to request account deletion. All your data, including child profiles, will be permanently removed within 30 days.
