Parent dashboard
The Kivvie parent dashboard is where adults manage the YouTube whitelist. Children watch on the mobile app; parents approve channels, adjust profiles, and manage the account from the web.
What parents manage from the dashboard
- Create and edit child profiles.
- Search for public YouTube channels and approve them per child.
- Remove channels that no longer fit.
- Install and customize channel packs.
- Review watch history and watch duration.
- Manage subscription and plan settings.
Why controls live on the parent dashboard
Kivvie separates parent controls from child viewing. The child app does not include a settings area where a child can search all of YouTube, approve channels, or change the whitelist.
This keeps the child experience simple: open Kivvie, choose a profile, and watch videos from approved channels only. The parent dashboard remains the control center.
Dashboard changes sync to the child app
When you approve or remove a channel, the child app updates right away. If the app is already open, refresh the profile or reopen the app to pull the newest list.
