Install Kivvie on Android
Kivvie runs as the child viewing app on Android phones and tablets. Parents approve channels from the web dashboard, then the Android app shows only those approved channels with Shorts, comments, recommendations, and the normal YouTube feed removed.
Download from Google Play
Install Kivvie on the child's Android phone or tablet from Google Play. Then connect it to a child profile in one of two ways: sign in with the same Google account you use for the parent dashboard, or use a setup code from the Profiles page with no sign-in on the device at all.
Open Kivvie on Google PlayUse with Google Family Link
Kivvie controls which YouTube channels are available inside the child app. Google Family Link can still control device time, app installs, permissions, and access to other YouTube surfaces.
For the cleanest setup, approve the channels in Kivvie first, then use Family Link to limit or remove other YouTube access on the device.
On a Family Link supervised device, use a setup code. Google's account picker on a supervised device only offers the child's account, so you cannot sign into Kivvie with your parent account there. Instead, generate a setup code on the dashboard and enter it on the device. Kivvie pairs to the child profile without any Google sign-in.
